In that period, according to some scholars a Cistercian monastery was constructed by the friars in the same area, after the wrecking of what was considered the “centre” of the Cistercians. This church should date from the VII century and probably stood where today the church of “San Colombiano”, in Vaprio d’Adda, is located.
